Kateau James is a managing director at Deloitte and serves as the Global Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Deloitte Technology. As COO, Kateau is a trusted advisor to the Global CIO, providing counsel on global technology strategy and key initiatives, as well as planning and directing all strategic and operational, administrative, and financial activities.
She is responsible for all CIO operations and areas of IT business management, including data mastery and analytics, executive communications, eminence, IT financial operations, vendor management, innovation, strategy, enterprise architecture, governance, and executive reporting.
Kateau joined Deloitte in 2018 from Ernst & Young, where she served as Global IT Service Delivery Leader. She has more than 20 years of experience with strategic technology planning, global organizational management, and full life-cycle software development.
She holds an MBA in Finance from Auburn University, a BS in Business Information Systems from Albany State University, a CIO certification from the Technology Association of Georgia, and a master’s certification in IT Project Management from George Washington University. She is pursuing her doctorate in Business Administration at Hampton University.
Kateau currently serves as a board member and volunteer for the Georgia Future Business Leaders of America and National Black Arts Festival.
