Jerome Oglesby, Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Deloitte, leads the firm’s global technology infrastructure organization, driving technology strategy, architecture & engineering, implementation and operations. In his role as Global CTO, Jerome exudes passion around leveraging leading-edge technologies to help Deloitte professionals connect with each other and clients anywhere, anytime via any device.
Jerome has influenced the IT landscape of Deloitte through Cloud services operationalization, regional delivery of critical infrastructure services, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, corporate pandemic planning, sustainability efforts on greening of IT and process management.
Jerome joined Deloitte in June 2004 as Director of Infrastructure in the US member firm and has served as Deputy CIO and Chief Technology Officer for Deloitte Services in the U.S. With more than 35 years of experience in both IT and military intelligence, including radio and satellite communications technology, Jerome is known for driving enterprise-wide, transformational change.
Prior to joining Deloitte, he was Executive Director of Information Technology with Cingular Wireless, leading the technology merger with SBC Wireless and BellSouth Mobile. He also has experience within the travel industry with Sabre Inc., the industry leader in travel and reservations technology, as well as Travelocity.com, American Airlines, and Piedmont Airlines.
Jerome holds a B.S. in Information Systems from The University of Texas Arlington and an MBA from David Lipscomb University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Marine Corps Communications Electronics Institute.
Accolades that Jerome has received include the Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader Award and the University of Texas Arlington Distinguished Alumni Award. Jerome was also named to CIO Magazine’s Ones to Watch list and named a Top IT Leader by ITBusiness.Ca.
Currently, Jerome serves on numerous boards to include Lead Academy Charter Schools, Educate Nashville, as well as the Nashville and Texas Technology Councils. Additionally, he enjoys volunteering with the middle TN chapter of Junior Achievement.
